  Art buffet on Broad Street
Please join me for a fun filled afternoon at Broad Appetit in downtown Richmond, on Sunday, May 18, from 12 - 5. This inaugural event celebrates all aspects of food and I, along with a dozen other artisans, will showcase food related art and objects. In the Inleaf tent you will find aprons, table runners, napkins, towels, and other goodies. There will be plenty of opportunities to sample delicious food from many of Richmond's finest restaurant, as well as enjoying fun family events, lectures, and music. For more information and directions go to the Broad Appetit website.

Bloom at The Barn Swallow
Visit the Barn and celebrate the coming of spring with a very special show in the middle gallery. Local artists Mary Ann Burk, Janice Arone, Lotta Helleberg, Leslie Chisholm, Moss Dix, John Grant, Leslie Banta, and Joan Kinney, have all produced beautiful hand crafted objects that reflect the budding of the season. You'll find fiddle heads, blossoms, and buds that are printed, painted, sewn, photographed, fired, and forged. April 4 - May 31, Friday - Saturday 10 -5, Sunday 12 - 5.

The inleaf blog
Please visit my new blog, where I strive to share my creative ideas and processes, as well as highlighting inspirational people, places, and things. Since this is a new venture, I would love feedback. Leave a comment, or just let me know when you see things you like or dislike. I would also like suggestion for interesting artist and objects I might have missed.

Australian author Nicole Hopkinson, in collaboration with Hardie Grant Books, has written an informative guide to the best website shops from around the world, The Global Shopper. In addition to the comprehensive list of online stores, ranging from big names like Overstock and Harrods, to small unique boutiques like mine, Nicole addresses such topics as online security and shipping when ordering from abroad.
